A symbol of gay pride and visibility since the late 70s, the Rainbow Flag has been a worldwide icon for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders & Queers everywhere. In Beirut, the flag has made several appearances in public events this year such as marches, concerts, sit-ins and so on.
As LGBT activists in Lebanon and in other parts of the Arab world, what significance (if any at all) do you think the rainbow flag holds in our struggles? Does it support our causes? Does it hinder them?
