I have a tail,
It’s beautiful and slender
I’m not supposed to have it
Say the people
It’s abnormal
Say the people
Should I hide it and pain myself?
Or should I not care and expose it.
By the former I am a sad citizen
By the latter, a happy heathen
The people don’t like it
But I do.
Would they have me cut it?
My bleeding a sign of my obedience,
But will they stop there?
Or will they demand more and more
And more and more
Until not only am I tail-less
But uniqueness-less.
I have a tail,
It’s beautiful and slender.
I’ll keep it.
