تعمل جمعيّة حلم، وهي الجمعيّة المثليّة العلنيّة الأولى في المنطقة العربيّة، على توعية الرأي العامّ في لبنان والعالم العربيّ ضدّ رهاب المثليّة، متوجّهةً بشكل خاصّ لمثليي وثنائييّ الجنس. وفي إطار عملها هذا، استعانت حلم بدعم منظّمة “هينريخ بول” لتطوير ونشر كتيّب توعية جنسيّة باللّغات الأربعة: العربيّة، الانكليزيّة، الفرنسيّة والأرمنيّة. يتناول الكتيّب “المثليّة والثنائيّة الجنسيّة: خرافات وحقائق”، مختلف المواضيع المتعلّقة بالميول الجنسيّة كالمثليّة والصّحة النفسيّة، المثليّة والخرافات حول الجنسانيّة البشريّة، التغايريّة الجنسيّة ورهاب المثليّة وغيرها

L’organisation Helem, la première organisation homosexuelle publique dans les régions arabes, vise à éduquer l’opinion publique au Liban et au monde arabe contre l’homophobie, s’adressant spécifiquement aux homosexuels et bisexuels. Et dans le contexte de ce travail, Helem s’est procuré de l’aide de l’association “Heinrich Böll”, pour développer et publier un bouquin de sensibilisation de sexualité en 4 langues: l’arabe, l’anglais, le français et l’arménien. Le bouquin “Homosexualités et bisexualités: mythes et réalités”, porte sur différents sujets en relation avec l’orientation sexuelle, tel l’homosexualité et la sante mentale, l’homosexualité et les mythes sur la sexualité, l’hétérosexisme et l’homophobie et autres.

Helem, the first public gay and lesbian organization in the Arab World, has been leading a peaceful struggle against homophobia, through empowering the LGBT community in Lebanon and promoting awareness around the dangers of homophobia and different sexual orientation issues.
In the context of its work against homophobia, and with the financial support of «Heinrich Boll Foundation», Helem developed a public education booklet entitled “Myths and Facts: The Truth about Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity”, in four languages Arabic, English, French, and Armenian. The booklet tackles various sexual orientation issues such as heterosexism and homophobia, homosexuality and mental health, and homosexuality and myths around human sexuality, and other related issues.
